Chief item of interest : Home ProductsThis is the first time I am here at this fair and I found it very well organized. I am into retail business and I deal in kitchenware. I found a lot of nice products and kitchenware and most probably I'll be placing a few orders too. Apart from India I buy my products from Italy and few other countries. I think Indian products can compete in the world market with their products. Regarding the suggestions to organizers I would say that the registration process was quite time consuming, it should have been a bit easier..Chul Hee Lee, South Korea
- Chief item of interest : Handmade Rugged ItemsI am an importer and into wholesale business too. It's the second time I am coming here to this fair. I am looking for home décor accessories like carpets, etc. My main focus is on handmade rugged items. I have found a few good products here. Hopefully I'll find more. All my products are imported and apart from India I mainly buy my products from USA and other European countries. One problem that I have found with Indian suppliers is that they are not very punctual; I think they need to improve on this a lot. Apart from this I found the fair very well organized.Saty Izutani, Japan
- Chief item of interest : Decoration FurnitureI am into a wholesale business. It's the first time I am visiting India. I am looking for decoration items for furniture like tables. I have just arrived here and by the first look I found the fair nice. Currently I am also buying my products from China. Hopefully I'll increase my business from India in forthcoming years.Mathieu Kempf, France
- Chief item of interest : AntiquesIt's my first visit to this fair and I am really very happy to be here. It seems very well organize. Here I am looking mainly for furniture and mirror items in antique as well as new and modern styles. Indian products have a decent demand in our market. Currently I am importing 80% of my products from India and rest from Turkey and China. The prices of products here are higher as compared to China or Turkey but the quality is very good. Hopefully I'll place orders too.Kosti Sunhonen, Finland
- Chief item of interest : Home ProductsI am doing my business from India since last 20 years. I am into a wholesale business and I deal in a wide range of things, furniture, lamps, accessories, handbags and home textiles to name a few. Over the years I have found that the Indian market has improved a lot. Now the products are much more stylish, they are better made and the quality is certainly improving. The minimum order quantities are also improving. I think the fair is nicely organized. This time there is not many varieties on good furniture. The organizers must also include the permanent shops in the aisle in the fair. Moreover I think the Indian suppliers must work on their punctuality and sincerity. Also the presentation and salesmanship needs to be improved here. The best thing about the Indian products is their style and handmade quality.David R. Gault, USA
- Chief item of interest : DecorativesWe are into a wholesale business and it's the first time we are coming here. We deal in accessories and decorations items like Christmas decorations, marbles, blankets, pillows and much more. We design products on our own so we order the materials from India, China, Greenland and Denmark. The prices also are better here but quality fluctuates a lot. After the delivery we have to check and select the items. We think it would be better if every piece is dealt with more seriousness. Currently we are doing 40% of our business from India and we suppose it's going to increase in forthcoming years. The Indian handmade products are very beautiful. We found a lot of beautiful things here and have already placed orders. We find the fair very professionally organized.Henriette Bach & Janne Butina, Denmark
- Chief item of interest : Home ProductsI am doing business with India from last 19 years and it's my first visit to this fair. I deal in accessories, kitchen wares, bed covers, cushions, clothing etc. The style that I am looking for is one with traditional Indian look with a modern twist or western flavour. I have always found the craftsmanship of India very good but the products need to be westernized. Like in Europe people prefer more light and less exuberant styles. Since I have been working with Indian suppliers from last so many years I have observed that now they understand the European market much better than before. They understand now that Europeans are ready to spend more money if they get better quality. Hence Indian producers are continuously improving their quantity. A problem that I have found is that the MOQs(minimum order quantity) are a bit too high here. Like ordering 100-500 pieces for a same kind of style and colour are just too much. I work with the suppliers in the Vietnam, Thailand also in a few in China. Currently I am dealing with suppliers from Delhi, Jodhpur and Moradabad. In this fair I have found some very nice bed covers and furniture too. I have placed a few orders.Kiki Norval, South Africa
- Chief item of interest : Furniture & TextilesI am a retailer and am importing a few products from India from past 5-6 years. I deal in furniture, fabric, clothes, textiles priducts, etc. I have found some excellent items this time like scarves, textiles and furniture. What I look for is a contemporary pattern or design on a traditional product. Hence I always like the products. Apart from India I also buy my products from France, South America, Italy, a few from Germany and England too. I think quality wise Indian products are no less than them. But I think the MOQs are a bit higher here. Also I don't find much new designs and new patterns every year. I mainly deal in scarves which are usually collected by people so they always look for new designs and styles. Otherwise the Indian products are just too good and I always end up buying a lot of them every time. Currently I am doing 10% of my business from India and I am really happy to be here in this fair.Mary Liz Curtin, USA
- Chief item of interest : TextilesWe are specialized in second hand textiles and deal in selling as well as buying. It's my first visit to this fair. I was expecting more carpets, fabrics and upholstery here but didn't find much. There are a lot of arieties in furniture but not in textiles and woolen stuff. I think the prices here are reasonable and they can be negotiated if the suppliers show us some nice variety in textiles with good colorings. In India I find a lot of potential. Indian products have a nice demand and are well received all over the Europe. I import from China, Turkey, European countries and from almost all over the world; and I find Indian products sure can give them a nice competition. The new styles of Indian products, the color combination and the variety attract a lot of buyers in Europe. About the quality of the products I have no doubt they are a way ahead but the problems at times occur in servicing, that are of a high level in Europe.Rudi Matton, Belgium
- Chief item of interest : TrimmingsWe are manufacturers and importers of a lot of trimming products. This is my first visit to this show although I have been importing around 65 % of my products from India since a long time. Because I deliver goods to a lot of people dealing in multifarious things like lampshades, soft furnishings, textiles, furniture, etc., there is not one particular taste I am focusing on. I believe people welcome products pertaining to their creativity and I do not have a specific character in mind to say what is in preference. Overall, in all the home furnishing lines, Indian products are doing quite fine. There is a good demand at many levels, for affluent markets as well as middle income group. I also import a little from China but majorly from India. We purchase what we like from Indian products but some necessary changes have to be made to make it fit in the market in UK.Gary Flower, UK
- Chief item of interest : Soft FurnishingsI have a retail business. My business partners and I are here to search for fabrics, pillows, stools and various other soft furnishings. We look for contemporary designs which would fit into our market back home. We have been coming here for a few years now and have not found any new designs. All the products presented have already been seen and there is nothing to surprise us. The idea of the home expo is very appealing. It has made our work easier and we are able to spend more time looking at products rather than looking for the location of the stalls with home décor items. It would be even better if this fair could be bigger with more exhibitors and more factory made items.Vanessa Ordinavio, Philippines
- Chief item of interest : Home ProductsI run a trading company with products ranging from furniture, glass ware, aluminum items and handicraft products. I choose more contemporary designs as they tend to do better in the international market. I do forty percent of my business from India and the rest from China, Philippines, Vietnam, Europe, etc. Most of the suppliers I have in India are based in Moradabad and Jaipur. It also depends on the product I am buying. The idea of a home total fair is quite intriguing.Mohamad Diab Lebanon
- Chief item of interest : Holiday DecorI run a wholesale business. We specialize in holiday décor items, mostly Halloween, Christmas, Easter, etc. This is my first time in India and I am surprised to see all the new designs and the great selection I have to choose from. This fair home expo is very impressive. It is very organized and systematic which makes it easy for me to navigate my way to find the products of my choice. I look for items with vintage looks and am delighted to find that there are a variety of products to match my tastes.Abbie, USA
- Chief item of interest : Home DecorThis is my first time to this fair. I am looking for home décor items, souvenirs, and beach items, basically items which would appeal to tourists. Both contemporary and traditional patterns are liked and received well in Spain. The handicraft products are a hit with the people but they are quite expensive. With the market so down it is not viable to deal in handicrafts. Around five percent of my imports is from India; China is cheaper but the quality and the originality of the Indian designs is amazing. Other countries I deal with are China, Indonesia, Philippines, etc.Carlos, Spain
- Chief item of interest : Home DecorI am in a retail business since last two years and looking for an ethnic range of furniture, textiles, home products, floorings, bedroom ranges etc. Anything that is modern yet retains its ethnic quality: a blend of traditional and contemporary that can fit into the ambience of UK homes but also speak greatly of its rich Indian heritage. I have come across some furniture products on the similar lines like coffee tables, chairs etc. I am on a lookout for colors that are not too bright, subtle prints that tell about Indian culture, elegantly ethnic work and patterns. I only source from India right now but would also shift to some other countries too. This show is really nice. It is overwhelming to see how exhibitors strive to bring in new commodities. I have seen many fresh and appealing ideas and would soon be placing orders. Indian handmade home decorative items are in demand; they are eco friendly and can be differentiated from the rest of the embellishment. I congratulate the Council for such a nice concept of the show. Mainly my exporters are Rajasthan based, but origin is not so much a priority as demand for new idea is. I am glad that products here are not repetitive.Jivi Patel, UK
- Chief item of interest : FurnitureWe own a few shops and deal in furniture and home accessories. I am a regular visitor to EPCH's IHGF but to Home Expo, it's my first visit. I would like to congratulate the organizers for coming up with such a conceptual show that serves buyers of home segment so well. I am looking for all kinds of furniture like wooden, iron, recycled, etc. Basically, I don't focus so much on upcoming trends, as my desire is to import furniture that would fit well in various ambiences in German homes. I also import from Thailand and Nepal, but I like the ideas that I get to see in India, hence purchase 90 % of the products for my shops from here. I buy all kind of ranges; traditionally ethnic, modern and classy, washed out and recycled, sometimes a blend of a lot of such looks. Apart from my major suppliers from Rajasthan and Moradabad I have also placed orders with many new exhibitors. These suppliers assist me in customizing the products as at times there are some changes that I make in colours and prints. When I deal with customers, I find out that there is a demand for various kind of home accessories, I want to add all such categories to my collection and shows like these help me a lot to accomplish this. I would not go too far to say that this is an exceptional show, but it's satisfying my needs as it has too much to offer me. it's a wonderful show.Michael Kremer, Germany
