WHY KAZAKHSTAN?

In 2024, the volume of chemical production in Kazakhstan increased by 16% compared to 2023.

The country is home to a large number of enterprises producing plastics, chemical fibers, tires, calcium carbide, and caustic soda. Kazakhstan possesses some of the world’s richest reserves of phosphorus-containing raw materials, mainly from the Karatau basin, and ranks among the top five countries holding 90% of global phosphorus reserves. The phosphorus industry accounts for 34.1% of the country’s total chemical production (excluding petrochemicals), and increasing the output of phosphorus and phosphorus-based products is one of the key goals of Kazakhstan’s economic development.

Top exported chemical products include yellow phosphorus, chromium oxides and chlorides, herbicides, chromium trioxide, ammonium nitrate, sodium dichromate, and mineral fertilizers. A highly developed chemical industry is crucial for the agricultural sector, which relies on it for mineral fertilizers and pesticides. Kazakhstan also has a well-developed mining and chemical industry and a strong basic chemistry sector, both driven by the extraction of mineral-based chemical raw materials. The exhibition will welcome visitors from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan. It is the only specialized exhibition in this region — a major competitive advantage.
